Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Store Clerk/Food Service Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, assisting customers with their purchases, and ensuring the store operates smoothly. You will work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring food safety standards are met and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. This position requires strong communication skills and a passion for retail sales and food, as well as the ability to commitment to delivering outstanding customer experience

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products within the store.

• Process sales transactions using the POS system and cash register, ensuring accuracy

• Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including restocking shelves and managing inventory levels.

• Address customer inquiries and provide information about products, promotions, and store policies.

• Utilize basic math skills for handling transactions and managing cash drawers.

• Demonstrate effective phone etiquette when answering calls or taking orders over the phone.

• Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and provide exceptional service.

• Prepare and serve deli items, including Godfathers Pizza, subs, and misc.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the deli area, including equipment and displays.

• Operate deli equipment safely and efficiently.

• Monitor inventory levels and assist with restocking as needed.

• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.

• Adhere to all health and safety regulations in food preparation and storage.

Requirements

• Previous experience in retail sales is preferred but not mandatory.

• Experience working in a quick service fast food restaurant is a plus.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with customers effectively.

• Familiarity with retail math to assist in inventory management and transaction accuracy.

• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.

• Experience with POS systems and cash registers is a plus.

• Basic math skills are essential for handling transactions accurately.

• Knowledge of food safety practices to ensure compliance with health regulations.

• A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment are crucial for success in this role.
